ROLE

Chad works closely with DMA’s clients to develop and implement transaction tax planning strategies that improve processes and increase tax compliance. He focuses on streamlining transaction tax processes through automation, allowing resources to focus on more value-added tasks. Chad works closely with the marketplace to understand client needs and inefficiencies, and to recommend and implement solutions using existing and emerging technologies. He has a broad base of knowledge in transaction tax as he also plans, organizes, and performs sales/use tax overpayment reviews and audit strategies for major corporations. In addition, Chad oversees DMA’s transaction tax solutions, ensuring that the features and functions of each solution meet today’s global transaction tax challenges.

  • Established managed compliance agreements, obtained audit reductions, performed overpayment
    and underpayment reviews, and solved compliance issues
  • Implemented industry-leading tax engines with various ERPs
  • Serves as a project lead for tax transformation initiatives to leverage emerging technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), optical character recognition (OCR), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML)
  • Prior to joining DMA, worked with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, handling various internal audit assignments
  • Generated over $3 million in tax savings for clients
