The Value-Added Program under the Alberta Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Program is designed to help food and bio-industrial processors scale operations, expand into new markets, and strengthen production capabilities. Through non-repayable grant funding, eligible businesses can invest in projects that transform agricultural inputs into higher-value products—while creating jobs and driving sector diversification across the province.

  • Ineligible expenses include storage, leased equipment, and costs not directly related to eligible activities

  • Program opens April 1, 2026
  • Applications accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis
  • Eligible project window: January 1, 2026 – March 15, 2027
