ROLE
Lissa leads a team of transaction tax professionals in DMA’s southwest region. She ensures the team embraces DMA’s Client Service Principles and that best practices are utilized to deliver exceptional service to DMA’s clients. Lissa provides effective transaction tax solutions to clients and is responsible for planning, organizing, and performing sales and use tax overpayment reviews for major corporations. She coordinates and analyzes client data for use with DMA’s transaction tax automated review process, reviews client audit assessments, and files the necessary appeals. Lissa also analyzes and evaluates data for samples to ensure the proper procedures are used and that sampling risk is minimized. She negotiates with auditors regarding audit assessments and overpayment reviews, informs clients of tax law changes that affect their industries, and provides client training seminars.
