ROLE
Ian leads a team of property tax professionals in DMA’s Western Canada region and performs real property assessment reviews. He inspects client facilities, compiles and analyzes relevant market data, and works proactively to negotiate assessment reductions with assessors, municipalities, and counties. Ian’s extensive property tax experience enables him to identify property tax savings opportunities for DMA’s clients. He has worked on some of the largest assessments in Canada.

20 years in property tax; 16 years with DMA
- Previously served as an Assessor in Rocky View County, Alberta
- Performed property valuations for residential, commercial, vacant land, and light industrial properties
- Experience with the Marshall and Swift Valuation Manual
- Experience includes all aspects of heavy industrial facilities, legislation, and cost reporting
