Glen Ellyn, Illinois Imposes New Food and Beverage Tax

The village of Glen Ellyn, Illinois has a new food and beverage tax commencing on March 1, 2019. The tax rate is 1.5%, and returns are due on the 20th (unless it is a weekend) of the consecutive month. The first tax returns are due on April 22.

Food and beverage registrations and return forms can be submitted online or via mail. It is indicated that the deadline for submitting a registration form is March 1.
